Well…I have been sent back to “COVID” times (not really THANKFULLY) but as it relates to my computer access… right back to the mad rush to beat the line for the limited amount of keyboards. This time… it is due to a server outage on the South yard causing the entire compound to use the 10 computers on the Northyard in between the 10 minute moves… giving me about 4 minutes or so to “work”…a little over 3 minutes now.
So… I will not be able to do any deep diving this week but I will say that I am extremely grateful for my job in the kitchen… the creative energy that it has invigorated me with over the past week and how lucky I feel to find myself in this position. It has made me think that this is the goal in the real world as well… as it relates to “work”. Finding something that ignites the passion… something that allows you to play in a professional environment… allows you to learn through experimentation and grow from the lessons…allows you to feel proud of yourself at the end of the day by accomplishing something… even if that something is as small as a perfectly made gravy :).
Easier said than done… I am well aware of that with all the outside pressures of real life but a valid pursuit none the less.
Send positive vibes for the computers to be up and running next week… until then… you can find me in the kitchen.
Stay Healthy. Stay Active.
And the Gravy… it’s all in the rue.
Though this posting was short, it carried a really important message. It reminded me of a important quotation and seems to apply here, Zach
“Making progress in life provides the biggest sense of fulfillment”
Keep up the good work!
