Hot Again

Well… here we are again… the units that had tested positive were re-tested last week and the results were sent into a lab for processing… they came back a few day later and every unit that had tested positive previously once again had at least one guy test positive again. So… we continue down the lockdown road.

That being said… I thought I would share a quick thought regarding isolation and the mental stamina it takes to productively push through the days while I have been locked down. For the past month… we have been locked in our units 23 hours a day besides the hour that they let us outside for “rec” so that we can work out, check the computers (if indoor recreation is open) and get some fresh air. Thankfully… since I work at commissary… I still leave the unit to work in the mornings but past that… our housing unit is our life… day in and day out. I have found that I have to consciously “self talk” myself many times throughout the day… reminding myself that this is just temporary… that I can read, write, spark up a conversation with another guy or even workout in the hallway to clear my mind. That no matter what happens externally… I am in control of what goes on between my ears and at the end of the day… that is all the can truly impact my state. Keep my mind sharp and my thoughts clear, positive and productive… and all else will fall in line.

That’s all the time they are giving me so fingers crossed for next week!

Stay health… stay active.
